The Lakeview area of New Orleans is one of our core area of concentration in developing a comprehensive real estate market analysis for single family residential homes.  Here we are  examining New Orlean’s Lakeview area home sales  and active listings over the past two fiscal quarters.  Home sales and listings in Lakeview have been increasing in number with almost double the amount of activity in the first quarter of 2011 compared to the last quarter of 2010.  The overall supply in the market is rising which may indicate a lowering of prices, but at he same time the average time a home stays on the market is decreasing. In general, New Orleans Lakeview area is still developing at a faster rate that many other areas of New Orleans, and the homes that are being built or restored are a higher value, size and quality that pre Katrina.  Lakeview is poised to be one of the hottest neighborhoods in the metropolitan area, and commercial real estate growth is still on the rise.
